"Tonight we sleep in Paris" was our battle cry as we biked the last leg of our 3 week trip in Provence yesterday.
Caught the fast train in Avignon at 6pm and were in Paris before 9pm. The father and little boy in the seats opposite us were watching a plane out the window, that wasn't going any faster than the train.
Spent the last few days in places without a good internet connection, so have some half-finished posts to send. Was going to do that today as part of catching up on sleep and relaxing in Paris, but we just figured out that the flea market we want to go to is only open today and also that today the Champs Elysees is closed to car traffic and has been turned into a garden, so says our taxi driver. Will have to check out both, on today, our 'rest day' .
Will send out some posts tonight.
Meanwhile, here's my french-speaking guide in front of a waterfall in Nice.
